A detailed StoryCAD outline, say a novel or screenplay, has many Story Elements. They and their interactions can be challenging to manage. Which scenes develop a subplot? Where does a character or a setting appear in the narrative?
StoryCAD has a search bar at the left of the Menu Bar, above the Navigation pane, to help you find specific words or phrases in your outline. To use it, enter the word or phrase to search for into the search bar and click the search button (hourglass):
The system will highlight the Story Elements that contain the search text in selected fields.
To clear the search, click on the ‘X’ on the search bar:
