About StoryBuilder

Where Every Great Story Begins

StoryCAD is a unique tool in the world of fiction writing, offering a free and open-source story outline editor. Born from the original StoryBuilder, a commercial program developed in the mid-1990s, it was embraced by over 3,300 writers for crafting compelling fiction. After years of supporting StoryBuilder while managing a day job, a complete rewrite was initiated upon retirement.
